Alana- Owner
Alana is the owner, of TRENDZ the salon spa, which opened over 4 years ago. She has been a hair designer for over 10 years, a color educator for 4 years, and has always envisioned owning a place where guests can feel welcome and relaxed in an upscale environment. Opening TRENDZ the salon spa was a dream come true for Alana. Ever since she was a little girl she dreamed of helping people feel better about themselves. Alana attended Pittsburgh Beauty Academy while receiving her associate degree in cosmetology, which included a nail license, skincare license, and management & teachers license. Alana has participated in educational seminars from Aveda, Graham Webb, Dermalogica, and Framesi. She is from Greensburg where she lives with her husband Mark, son Kaden (her little angel), dog Ghengus (Shihtzu), and two cats. Her new love is the small hobby farm of goats and sheep they started for her son. She has a stepson Mark Donald, who is a Penn State graduate and resides near Washington D.C. Alana says that she wouldn't have the spa she has without the help and support of her mother, father and brother. Her bright and cheery personality are certain to make all guests feel welcome. Unfortunately Due the diagnosis and surgery of a spinal cord condition called syringomyelia, you will now find Alana behind the desk assisting guests. If not at TRENDZ phisically Alana is ALWAYS busy at work with TRENDZ management and marketing duties. Bethany- Master Hair Designer
Bethany is a hair designer at TRENDZ the salon spa. She also enjoys performing manicures and pedicures. Bethany has been trained with Dermalogica, Aveda, and Bella Luce and is also Aveda color certified with multiple classes from AVEDA educators. Her cheery personality is sure to please. We couldnt be happier to have such a sweet, upbeat, friendly girl on our staff for the last three years. Bethany graduated from Hempfield Area High School than went on to peruse her dream in the beauty industry. Bethany started at TRENDZ as an assistant until she graduated from Bella Capelli Beauty School and is a welcomed part of our full time staff. Bethany recently took an Aveda advanced color training in Pittsburgh. Bethany continues to grow in the industry with Designer education. Alana says Bethany is an amazing staff member and is a valued hair designer. In Bethany's spare time she enjoys being an incredible aunt to her nephew of 1 year. She also loves spending time with her boyfriend. You are sure to fall in love with Bethany's warm personality immediately.
Stephanie- Master Hair Designer
Stephanie is a Master Designer at TRENDZ and certainly not new to the profession. Stephanie came from over 5 years at a chain salon as the Manager and Assistant Manager. TRENDZ is very excited about Stephanie's decision to join our team. She brings incredible cutting skills and color knowledge with her. The list of education Stephanie has taken is usually unheard of, it truly shows her passion for the beauty industry. TRENDZ staff is excited to share knowledge with her. Erika- Skin Care Therapist
Erika, has been with TRENDZ since the beginning, she is a part time skincare therapist at TRENDZ working Thursday evenings and one Saturday a month. Erika has been trained with the Dermalogica product line and has been a therapist since 2002. She is trained in Brazilian waxing as well as body waxing. Some would say that a Brazilian Wax is one of her specialties here at TRENDZ. We sometimes refer to her as the Brazilian Queen. In her spare time, Erika enjoys shopping and loves fashion. Erika has been married for one year. She has been a great asset to us and we very grateful to have to have such a great personality on our team.
Emily - Skin Care Therapist & Cosmetologist
Emily is our newest addition to TRENDZ. She brings an amazing skin care education with her. She is so excited to begin her career in the Skin Care Industry. Hair Removal, body treatments and Skin treatments are some of the services Emily is so excited to be performing. Emily also has a Cosmetology background and is doing Manicures & Pedicures as well. Emily is from the Irwin area is a Norwin High School graduate.
Rhonda- Massage Therapist
Rhondais a part-time massage therapist at TRENDZ. You will find Rhonda upstairs massaging away on Thursdays & Saturdays at TRENDZ.
Amanda - Massage Therapist
Amanda is from the Hunker area and a graduate of Hempfield High School. You will love her happy & cheery personality. Amanda loves to help people feel at best. She loves helping others reduce stress. Amanda attended Washington Massage School and then did her internship with us. After graduation Amanda decided to stay with us and has become a fantastic staff member for almost a year. Amanda has recently taken a 3 day pregnancy massage certification class at Pittsburgh School of massage therapy.
Shelly - Jr. Hair Designer
One conversation and you will fall in love with shelly. Her warm and caring personality is sure to please everyone. A graduate from Hempfield high school, Shelly resides in Greensburg. Recently returning from The International Hair Show in Vegas, she is really pumped about Shelly loves shopping and baking in her spare time. Her artististic talents are sure to shine in this profession. Shelly joined our staff a year ago and we have been so happy to have her. Shelly graduated Empire beauty school and is currently a Jr. stylist at TRENDZ. Shelly is an outstanding addition to the beauty industry and you are sure to love your services.
Shauna - Front Desk Assistant
Graduating from Hempfield High School, Shauna knew that a career in the beauty industry is what she always wanted. Shauna is currently attending Bella Cappelli Beauty School in Monroeville and assisting at TRENDZ part time. Shauna came to work at TRENDZ for a student day and we instantly knew she was a girl we needed for our team. Shauna is such a amazing help to us, not to mention a great joy to be around. We are sure you will really appriciate her help too. looking forward to her finishing school very soon.
